Boy was I fooled

Sister got me good with an April fools joke. She planted a spider in my bathroom before we went out so when we came back her joke was in full force when she told me she saw something scatter across my floor. After much hesitation I peeped around my sink pedestal to find large black legs. Instantly my dramatic self is convinced its a tarantula and I go into full fledged panic mode. (bugs are currently a sensitive subject with me so she hit me at my weak point). After much debate with who is going to kill it she squishes it and begins to bring it towards me to then fling it and yell "April fools" ugh. Not funny sister but you did get me good. Last year she had my nephew call and convince me a rattle snake was in their backyard. You would think I would learn!!!

Sister Sunday

We always seem to have hilarious sister Sunday dates. This Sunday's we ventured to Liberty Market in Gilbert. On the way we drove next to this woman scootering with her pug in back. We then had some phenomenal coffee shots called cortado. Sky can't wait to go back and try the non decaf ones. The late art made my day. It's the little things that we find huge enjoyment in. Last we experienced a very uncomfortable his and hers massive bathroom. To read my sisters hilarious version go here.
Our dates are always filled with lots of girl chatter and lots of sister laughs.

Embracing my Canadian-ness

My hockey loving friend thought it would be fun to bring the Canadian who knows nothing about hockey to a game. We were seven rows up, saw a fight, saw a players 1000th goal, and there was almost a hat trick haha.

young, wild and free

Some things that I am totally lovin or are making me laugh right now:

Conversations with friends that make you get giggles at work. The draw it game and the fact that I think my Ariel is phenom.

The awkward moments at work that seem to happen to me a lot. I think I am really living the show The Office. When my friends and I go to the store and discover a carnival so naturally we stop, ride my least favorite ride, get tears from laughing so hard, and eat tons of junk food.
The fact that I am in love with my neighborhood
Palm walk and my love for it will never die. I truly miss my time at ASU.
Nights with friends when you laugh so hard your cheeks hurt, the smell of Arizona spring nights, all of the summer songs on the radio, and eighty degree weather just to name a few more.

My phone screen says it all:

Two Kids in a Candy Shop

my sister and I love learning about new cute places around Arizona. When we heard about this quirky candy shop we just had to adventure out and see it for ourselves. We always have the most ridiculous adventures together which usually end in our stomachs and cheeks hurting from laughing so much! We were literally two kids in a candy shop oooing and awing over everything inside. There were so many cute things to see and we spent quite awhile looking at it all. I was also quite excited when I discovered my FAVORITE Canadian candy! Score!
We ended the day with some antiquing and a taco bell run :)
Thanks for the fun day sis!

Lucky!

Yeah, I am pretty lucky....

I got to spend my St Patricks Day with these cuties at my neighborhood block party.
It was a day filled with carnival games, food, bounce houses, face painting, pony rides, rock climbing, and trampoline jumping! The boys had a lot of fun!

Words

I stumbled upon this sign the other day and loved it:

Life
Find a passion and purse it.
Fall in love. Dream big.
Drink wine, eat great food, and spend quality time with good friends.
Laugh everyday.
Believe in magic. Tell stories.
Reminisce about the good ol days but look with optimism to the future.
Travel often. Learn more.
Be creative.
Spend time with people you admire.
seize opportunities when the reveal themselves.
Love with all your heart.
Never give up. Do what you love.
Be true to who you are.
Make time and enjoy the simple things in life.
Spend time with family. Forgive even when its hard.
Smile often. Be grateful.
Be the change you want to see in the world.
Follow your dreams.
Try new things. Work hard.
Dont count the minutes count the laughs.
Embrace change. Trust in yourself.
Be thankful. Be nice to everyone.
Be happy. Live for today.
and above all... Make every moment count.

I amazed myself

I'm really not sew savvy to be quite frank but when I saw this sew e-z I figured how hard can it be? Plus with a 40% off coupon to make the purchase a mere $24 I couldn't pass it up. After an hour and a half of trying to get the bobbin to work (isnt this supposed to be easy?) I whipped up this banner in five minutes! Next project will be pillow mayhem!!

Home

Just some things going on around the house as of late:

Dad hooked me up with some awesome under cabinet lights for my kitchen...
I purchased some counter stools from world market which I am in love with...
I made some anthropology inspired "zinc" letters for my laundry closet. I really want to paint this room tiffany teal sometime soon. who wants to help ;)

I finally bought a toaster after being in my house for over a year. I was craving cinnamon and sugar toast!

I am pretty positive I broke a bone in my foot while trying to put together this ikea table for my messy office. Next is decorating the walls!

My fantastic mom painted me this tree picture for my bedroom and I am SO in love with it. I have ordered w00d blinds for my windows and will be making ruffle curtains to match! Pictures of all that after its done!
