Dreams

Ever since I watched the movie Eclipse, I have wanted a dream catcher. Since I live in Arizona, it really wasn't hard for me to track one down. It makes me happy, is authentic and hangs from my sliding glass door! No big deal! ;)

Par-Tea!

Simply Lovely. We went to the English Tea Rose Room and had delicious food, desert and tea. It was so fun getting dressed up in flower dressed and hats to go for tea. The soup was amazing and was complimented by an assortment of crust less sandwiches. Tea parties are so fun and now I want to purchase my own china tea set! Plus who needs a starbucks night when we can have a par-tea?!

paper fun

I call my sister earlier this morning to inform her that I learned how to make paper cranes. Her response "great, maybe you can make me some, I have an idea for something." Come to find out, we want to do the exact same thing with them. Her and I seem to have the same brain. I guess that comes along with being sisters, right? :) Needless to say, I think I have become a professional paper crane maker this morning with the paper workshop I developed!

Antiques

Never in my life would I have expected to love antique stores as much as I do. Im not the antique, old, used stuff kind of person, but I probably go to the antique market three out of the four weekends a month. I had been eyeing this old camera for weeks now and finally decided to just purchase it. When I got it home, not only did I find out you can see through the lens, the shutter actually works AND there is real film in it. I was floored to say the least. And I got it for 20% off the original price. I was more than happy with my purchase. I also came across a cute gold, heavy owl which I just had to have. My favorite part about the owl is its off tilted eye. I dragged Melissa with me and converted her to loving the antique store as well. We are going back next weekend because there are just too many treasures! I scored right?! :)

Anything Pink

Driving down Arizona Avenue, I spotted this adorable bright pink ice cream van sitting at an auto shop. It was so adorable and pink so I couldn't resist a photo op. It reminded me of the times I'd tear through the house scrounging for change whenever I heard the ice cream truck making its way down Mayberry Drive. I definitely wouldn't be able to resist ice cream from this adorable truck! This also made me realize how cute old town Chandler is. Expect another photo op soon!

Monsoon

It poured rain all last night and kept me up! It seems that monsoon season has begun! I hope it isn't as bad as last years with power outages, frogs, and fires! Although I hate to admit it, I love the sound and smell of rain, but I by no means enjoy walking or driving in it. Any excuse to wear my cute rain boots though, right?!

Sunsets

I love Arizona sunsets.
Happy half way through the week!

Happy 4th

I spent July 4th in Vegas with my best friends. We had entirely too much fun!

Fish Racing!

We decided to try something different and ventured off to a new bar we heard about that had fish racing. I can honestly say it was one of the funniest things I have ever done. I picked my fish and named him Houdini (because he was gone in a flash). You place your fish in and squirt it with a squirt gun in an attempt to get them to cross the finish line. I ended up winning the whole competition and had so much fun! I think I am going to try and convince my sister to incorporate this idea into one of the boy's birthdays! ;)

Everlasting Flowers

My Grandma Laurie has always loved flowers with a passion. Her backyard is filled with them and she still maintains her garden to this day. She always had vases filled with flowers, so when I was little I made her a special kind of bouquet. I called these the "flowers that never die." I was surprised to see that when I went up to see my grandma last September that she still had my bouquet of everlasting flowers on display in her family room. (note the bright red glad twist ties as stems) I decided to send Dad up with my upgraded version of paper flowers that Sky taught me how to make so Grandma could have the upgraded edition to add to her bouquet! I am thinking about making my own bouquet as well since I think they are so cute!

Meet Krissy

We have known each other since Kindergarten and have been best friends ever since. I laughed so hard when I recently found this picture of us in the sixth grade because we had taken the exact same picture last September when I went up to Washington to visit. It makes me laugh because it goes to show that even though we live 1618.56 miles apart, (according to yahoo maps) one of us has grown since 6th grade, we went without seeing each other for several years, and have lived in separate states for over eight years, some things never change!

I stinkin love this girl to death!
Besties for life! ;)

airplanes

Can we pretend that airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now
I've been listening to this song on repeat for the last few weeks. Its by B.O.B feat eminem. It really isn't my style but eminem has been coming out with some sweet jams lately. What a comeback! These lyrics have been stuck in my head for days so I had to share!
