For my birthday, I threw a cupcake tasting party. I ended up getting several variations of cupcakes from The Coffee Shop, Sprinkles, and my homemade ones. It was a hit, plus I always love a good excuse to dress up :)

Just my luck I found my old nsync Christmas album circa 1998. Needless to say, I am pretty positive I remember all of the words and have been jamming out like a little school girl.

Ive been keeping the Christmas spirit going:

with marshmallow milk, making new decorations, wearing my real moccasins from Sedona that keep my toes oh-so warm, and updating my advent calendar that Sky gave me. I love this time of year.

I took this photo only a few days ago and now this tree is bare with yellow leaves scattered across my sidewalk. Just another indication that Christmas is JUST around the corner. I am really hoping to get my shopping completed by the end of this week. Time is traveling too fast for my liking.

Fall Leaves

You know you live in Arizona when.... fall leaves and rain make your day. My street was so cute with the yellow and orange leaves blowing across the streets. I ended up bundling up with my new pier1 blanket and some christmas movies! What a happy sunday!

Moved In!

The walls are painted, the floors are scrubbed, the carpets are cleaned, the furniture is pieced together, the pictures are hung, and the decorations are finally all up. WHEW! Its been a crazy month but I am having a lot of fun getting my new place all set up. My family and friends were a HUGE help! (Thanks everyone!) and just when I thought I was done, the Christmas decorations come rolling in! :)

Accessory Mania

I finally got sick and tired of having drawers filled with jewelry and hair accessories that I couldn't see. I am one of those people who forgets they have something unless they can visually see it. So, I decided to make a chicken wire earring holder and a bracelet holder out of paper towel/wrapping paper rolls. I then bought a little bowl for rings and will be making something for necklaces in the near future. I also made a bulletin board frame for hair accessories. Now I can see everything!

Fall

its my favorite time of year again! FALL!

Bring on the hot starbucks, pumpkin loaves, boots, new sweaters, no air conditioning in the car, chilly mornings, Halloween, and decorations.

big boy brody turns three with a very special pirate party! My sister is so creative with her party ideas! There were lots of eye patches, pirate faces, and candy skulls on the chocolate cookie dough cupcakes she made! Brody was very excited for his special day!

My dad put us to work early Sunday morning going through old boxes of junk as he cleaned out the storage unit. After too much time in the hot AZ sun slaving away, we both agreed that we had never sweat that much in our entire lives and decided to jump in the pool! Its the little things in life!

Few of my Favorite Things

These are a few of my favorite things I have bought or crafted recently. I am in the mindset of decorating a future place and have been in quite the crafty mood lately. Here's some of whats been going on:








1) this flying pig is my new favorite thing. I think he is adorable and have plans to put him in my future kitchen :) (i thought he was so cute i bought my sister one too!). 2) this green pear makes me pretty happy. Im sure there will be a spot made for it in the kitchen as well. 3)this fake plant also makes me pretty happy. I hope I can find more cute ones like this to put around. 4)I have a weird obsession with hour glasses, and I crafted that heart of buttons (trying to think of another shape i could do something similar with). 5)This frame and chicken wire was quite the ordeal to make ;) but I plan on using it to put little pictures, cards, quotes and notes. Just for a random collection of stuff! 6)this piece of work has caused me much frustration and my sister a hot glued thumb ;) i plan on making this a center piece for my coffee table and have handmade half of the balls in it (with the help of my sisters hot gluing abilities) I think i still need one more. 7) still madly in love with my old fashion camera. i think i want two more to put them all on a shelf. maybe one....8)cute little pear artwork i made out of fabric and lastly 9) it speaks for itself :)
